what to expect in a session:

  • To begin a session I like to begin with a 3-5 minute grounding exercise, this is just an activity that will attempt to centre you and bring you into the  room/ bring in focus

  • Then we will begin a directive. Directives are chosen with an intention to explore thoughts and emotions in regards to Anxiety through the creative act of Art making and by doing so the hope is to create a broader sense of self awareness. And there are times where the directive doesn’t fit with the client or speak to where they are in the moment, and in which case the client can choose what they would like to explore for the session. 

  • I also like to provide an opportunity for clients to talk about what they have created and if they came to any new discoveries and open a dialogue around self reflection and if anything new can be applied to their everyday life.  

 

Art Therapy for Anxiety Program

The Art Therapy for Anxiety is a virtual program where a client will work one-on-one with a Professional Art Therapist.

Program consists of:

  • 6 weekly or bi-weekly 60 minute sessions (scheduled on weekdays between 9:00am - 5:00pm ET

  • Through a series of custom directives you will work through:

    • Identifying anxious feelings

    • Use creative expression

    • Gain insight

    • Learn new coping mechanisms

    • Grow

    • pencil crayons

    • paper/notebook
